What's up at BAT

The 2017-18 Season:

"Ben Butler" by Richard Strand, a comedy-historical drama butler web smaller

Sept. 29, 2017 through Oct. 22, 2017

Friday, Saturday at 7:30 pm, and Sunday matinees at 2 pm

Two quick-witted men, one black and one white, and their innate stubbornness radically change the course of U.S. history and the purpose of the North’s cause. This look at a key decision in the Civil War is part comedy, part historical drama and part biography, often all at once, and sometimes none of those. A simultaneously thought-provoking and sidesplitting story of equality and the politics of race in America. Northwest premiere.

"The Christmas Carol Rag" by Norman Allen, a musical comedy

Nov. 24, 2017 through Dec. 17, 2017

Friday, Saturday at 7:30 pm, and Sunday matinees at 2 pm

In this delightfully irreverent musical take on the Dickens classic, Ebenezer Scrooge has been recast as an embittered woman named Evelyn and moved to 1911 New York City. Evelyn runs her New York City sweatshop with an iron fist, but slowly opens her heart when visited by a Yiddish-spouting Ghost of Christmas Past and a gospel-wailing Ghost of Christmas Present.

"Rapture, Blister, Burn" by Gina Gionfriddo, a comedy

Feb. 16, 2018 through March 11, 2018

Friday, Saturday at 8 pm, and Sunday matinees at 2 pm

An intensely smart and immensely funny comedy about life, love, and the grass being greener on the other side of the fence. Catherine wants what her friend Gwen has: a husband and children. Gwen wants to be what Catherine is: a famous academic and cultural pundit. Toss in Catherine’s feisty mother, a young former stripper, Gwen’s flawed husband, feminist theory, Dr. Phil and lots of martinis for a bumpy and hilarious ride. A Pulitzer Prize finalist.

Friday, Saturday at 8 pm, and Sunday matinees at 2 pm

It’s three days before Charles Whitmore’s Senate re-election and he’s decided to finally tell the public exactly what’s on his mind, no filter. What could possibly go wrong, particularly when faith, politics, gun control and 'The Twitter’ mix it up? Northwest premiere.

dinner and a show

The Dinner and a Show program is in suspense.  OoooooOOOoooooo.  That's scary!  Very theatrical!

The Mark Restaurant & Bar has been sold to new owners.  We thank The Mark for its many years of support to BAT!  They were great partners!

However, all good things must come to an end and we want to wish The Mark's owners well as they move on.

In the meantime, BAT will be looking for new community partners to continue this grand tradition forward.  If you would like to partner with BAT, and you own a restaurant in our community, please, contact us today.  Contact BAT
