After working a number of shows with wondrous costumers like the unstoppable Adrienne Perry, who is costuming “Coney Island Christmas,” I have come to believe that most costumers have a room full of Barbies lurking in a room somewhere. I can see most of them dressing and redressing Barbie. When I was young (and this will date me) you bought a Barbie and then bought outfits to put on the one doll. One might have 20 outfits for just one Barbie. An early memory of mine around this time of year, was my mother sewing Barbie outfits late into the night. Hours on tinny little costumes. I have checked this Barbie theory with couple of costumers. What do you think?
