“Noises Off” set continues to grow

Work continues on the “Noises Off” set.  Seven doors in 20 feet.  No small task.  CIMG1237

Here are door frames / flats coming together.

Here are those door frames / flats in place on the second story.  Stairs and doors, such is the set of “Noises Off.”

While this set building continues, the rehearsals are well underway.  Stopped by to catch a bit of rehearsal and almost had to leave the room because I was laughing so hard.

After the fire at BAT’s theater space, not exactly sure where “Noises Off” will go up.  BAT is trying hard to stay in Burien for the show, but there are not a lot of 17 plus foot tall ceilings in Burien that are waiting to be a temporary theater space.  BAT has a few contenders and hopes to get that pinned down very soon.

If you have not already done so, it is not to late to write the Burien City Council and politely ask them to rebuild BAT’s theater space.  The City of Burien is BATs landlord and the owner of the building, hence it is up to them to decide whether to rebuild, or not.  Please email the Council at [email protected] and politely ask them to rebuild.

It is also not to late to donate to help BAT defray the costs of renting a temporary theater space.  If you can, please donate HERE, or mail a check to BAT, P.O. Box 48121, Burien, WA 98148.
