The last couple of weeks were a sad reminder of a good thing. Theater is a family. That is a very good thing.
The sad reminder is that the BAT’s theater family lost two of its own. First was Henry Hart. A long time actor, director and ex-BAT-trustee. He was a wonderful man with a very long list of credits and awards.
The second was Joey Minar, a recent high school graduate who loved the arts and worked with managing director Maggie Larrick on his senior project, directing a play. Joey was a rising star and very talented.
The passing of both of these members of the BAT family, at opposite ends of their theatrical careers, is another reminder to cherish every day and to be free with your complements.
